Here for sale we have a Washburn D24N, an acoustic guitar built in Japan in the 1980’s. The guitar has sloped shoulders and is constructed using Spruce for the top and a stunning flamed maple for the back and sides. This tonewood combination offers a bright tone with great emphasis on the higher register for sweet sounding fingerpicking.
The action is relatively low (measurements can be found in the luthier report below) however cannot be adjusted any lower. This is not a problem at all for me but is worth mentioning just in case somebody wanted to make it very low. A pickup has been retrofitted to this guitar, with a barrel jack installed at the bottom. This sounds great and allows the guitar to be amplified for practice or performing.

Aesthetic Condition
Headstock- There is visible finish wear to the edges of the headstock where there is some indentation and finish chipping visible.
Neck- Various finish indents are visible but playability remains very good in my opinion, these are visible on the listing photos. The neck heel has had a strap button added.
Body- Light indents to the front of the guitar are visible and some light scratching to the sides and rear. The bottom of the guitar has a hole for where a jack socket may have been placed previously which is now on the side of the instrument.
Condition of Frets
Some Indentation, not affecting playability, this is not significant and the fret tops have flattened, playability remains very good.
Current Set Up
Truss Rod & Bridge- Fully Functional and can be adjusted
Height of the string from the 12th Fret- 2.5mm each side
Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
Notes on Set Up-
I would not recommend lowering the saddle further. The current action is as low as I would expect the guitar's action to be.
Strings on Guitar- 11 - 52
Electrics-
Electrics are in full working order
Further Notes-
The guitar shows some aesthetic marking and has had some modifications to accommodate the addition of being able to amplify the instrument. The playability could not be lowered further in my opinion due to the saddle height but it falls within the setup tolerance I would expect of an acoustic guitar.
