Here for sale we have a Taylor 114e Grand Auditorium electro-acoustic guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in Mexico in 2021, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising Laminated Walnut back & sides, Solid Sitka Spruce top, Maple neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A Tusq saddle and nut are fitted, along with a set of Chrome Taylor sealed tuning machines. A Taylor Expression System 2 behind-the-saddle piezo pickup is installed and is wired to the shoulder-mounted ES2 controls for master volume, treble and bass.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Taylor's neck profile filling the hand nicely for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The profile might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The Ebony of the fingerboard is dark in appearance, and with a nice tight grain adds a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional Taylor 15" radius is practical for both melodic and chordal playing styles, whilst the smooth lines of the Grand Auditorium body are comfortable in both standing and seated positions.
The acoustic voice of the Taylor 114e is rich and well balanced, and is well suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles. The Solid Sitka Spruce top projects very well, and provides a wide, sensitive dynamic range. The Laminated Walnut back and sides add some depth and character to the sound, whilst the Grand Auditorium body design strikes a perfect balance between open and airy strummed chords and precision for fingerstyle and melodic lines. The Taylor Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, adding the versatility required for both live and recording situations.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The top rear edge shows mild indentations which have lightly pierced the finish. Very light cracking can be seen near the high E tuning post and near the treble side of the truss rod cover. These have been tested and do not affect the structure of the instrument.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has worn to a light gloss consistent with playwear. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall good condition. A moderate indentation is present to the front face at the bass side of the sound hole. This has broken through the finish but does not affect the structure of the instrument. Milder indentations are present to the front face at the bass side lower bout, lightly piercing the finish. The centre of the rear face shows light to mild scratching consistent with buckle rash. In high contact areas such as the bass side lower bout and around the bridge, the satin finish has worn to a light gloss consistent with playwear.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. The pick guard displays mild scratching consistent with playwear.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2.25mm - Bass 2.5mm
