Here for sale we have a Takamine EG523SC Electro-Acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Korea in 1996, this guitar features a Solid Spruce top, Flamed Maple back and sides which are adorned with White/Black Binding, a Maple neck and a 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. This guitar features a Takamine TK-40 Preamp System with onboard controls on the shoulder of the guitar.
The Gloss finished Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile resembling a ‘D’ providing a thick enough hold to inspire confidence and feel dependable without being cumbersome. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant to the touch and the 20" radius feeling as flat and consistent as ever, fretting is a breezy and sumptuous affair in any register. The Jumbo body size feels great in both seated and standing positions, whilst the single-cutaway offers extended reach to the higher frets.
This instrument voice is warm and detailed, with the Flamed Maple back and sides producing a loud and responsive midrange. The Solid Spruce top provides a balanced tone with plenty of low end power and warm detail. The understated high end of this guitar remains detailed but subtle, adding unique character to this guitar, making this guitar perfect for singer songwriter styles of playing. The Takamine TK-40 Preamp System accurately captures the voice of the instrument, adding versatility for both live and recording situations.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the headstock.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates several instances of light to moderate indentation piercing the finish slightly. These are most notable to the bass side shoulder and along the lower bout. One indentation, to the treble side edge of the lower bout, has chipped the finish revealing the wood beneath. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
