Here for sale we have a Supro 2030JB Hampton Island Series in Jet Black finish. Made in Indonesia in 2017, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 Extra Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including Tune-O-Matic bridge and a ‘Wave’ style tailpiece along with a set of Kluson Style tuning machines. The pickups installed are a trio of Supro Vintage Gold-Foil mini-humbuckers, these are wired to a 5-way blade selector, master volume and a master tone control.
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile resembling a ‘C’ sitting comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing surface in all registers. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant to the touch and provides a smooth and reliable playing surface, whilst the traditional 12" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for string bending which is assisted by the Extra Jumbo fret wire. The Ozark body design aids in easy access to the higher frets whilst the contours offer a comfortable playing experience.
 
The trio of Supro Vintage Gold-Foil mini-humbuckers installed in this guitar offer a full and thick tone, exactly as you would expect from their vintage counterparts. The mini-humbucker in the neck delivers a warm low end, driving mids and rounded yet clear high frequencies, perfect for rock solo tones. The RWRP (reverse-wound, reverse-polarity) middle pickup provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst offering hum cancelling in positions “2 and 4” of the 5-way blade switch. The mini-humbucker in the bridge is wound hotter and provides a bright tone that saturates beautifully into distortion as you crank the gain, easily cutting through the mix. The 50’s-wiring offers comprehensive control of your tone without over-complicating things whilst adding an authentically vintage feel to the playing experience.
