Here for sale we have a Squier Vintage Modified Surf Stratocaster in Candy Apple Red finish. Made in Indonesia in 2012, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and vintage-style split post tuning machines. A trio of Duncan Designed LS-102 for Strat 'Lipstick' single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone and middle tone controls.
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'C' Shape profile filling the hand nicely for a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience across the register, whilst avoiding feeling too chunky or unwieldy. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. Medium Jumbo frets enhance the feel of vibrato and string bending techniques, providing a rock-solid playing surface.
 
The trio of Duncan Designed LS-102 Lipstick single-coil pickups deliver bright chiming tones, perfect for the dedicated Strat player looking for even more spank from their instrument. The neck position is the roundest of the 5, yet still retains plenty of top end clarity to easily cut through a dense band mix. Vintage-style wiring means there is no bridge tone control. This is always a treat, as in position 2 you can roll off the middle tone for a seriously quacky and distinctive sound.
