Here for sale we have a Squier MIJ Hank Marvin Signature Stratocaster Electric Guitar in Fiesta Red finish. Made in Japan in 1991, this bolt-on neck constructed guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 6-Point Vintage Style Tremolo with “Fender” stamped saddles, Gotoh G Die-Cast tuning machines, and a set of Standard Single Coil Strat pickups that are wired to a master volume, neck tone control, a middle tone control, and a 5-way pickup selector.
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ Shape profile feeling nicely slim in the hand and providing effortless playability in all registers. Certainly, the profile helps to facilitate fast and articulate lead lines. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck is glass-like to the touch and really helps with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with a period-correct 7.25" radius and vintage-style frets ensures an authentically vintage playing experience across the neck. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions. 
 
The trio of Single-Coils installed in this guitar deliver authentic vintage-inspired tones thanks to their period accurate specification. The neck is warm and round, with all of the power needed to push your solos to the front of the mix. The middle is punchy and clear for those funky tones, whilst the bridge produces a searing output for bright and focussed rock rhythm tones. This is a fantastically authentic vintage-inspired piece that will age very gracefully.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition, the treble side of the rear of the headstock demonstrates some finish wear, revealing the wood beneath. The top edge of the headstock demonstrates a light indentation that does not pierce the finish.

    Neck: Overall very good condition, on the rear of the neck finish wear is apparent between the nut and the 3rd fret on both sides, revealing the wood beneath. The early register of the bass side demonstrates very consistent light indentation which can be felt under the thumb. The end of the fingerboard demonstrates finish wear revealing the wood beneath. The fingerboard demonstrates very light scratching and indentation throughout the register which cannot be felt under the string.

    Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent light scratching and indentation most consistent towards the lower bout. These markings are visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The sides and edges demonstrate two instances of moderate chipping - one to the bass side lower bout edge and one to the treble side waist rear edge. Both of these reveal the wood beneath and crack the surrounding finish. The rear face demonstrates light scratching and indentation consistent with light buckle rash.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    This instrument has had a level and re-crown to ensure improved playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.

    Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The nut has been replaced for bone to a professional standard.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

     

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm
