Here for sale we have a Rickenbacker 330/12 Electric Guitar in Jetglo finish. Made in the USA in 1991, this guitar features a set neck construction comprising a semi-hollow Maple body, 3-piece Maple/Walnut neck and 24 fret Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Chrome hardware including the classic 'R' tailpiece, 6-saddle bridge and Schaller sealed tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar are a pair of Rickenbacker hi-gain single-coils, wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume and tone controls, and a blend knob for balancing the sound in the middle position.
The Gloss finish neck plays well, offering a smooth and fluid playing surface. The profile is typically Rickenbacker; feeling nicely slim in the hand and offering ergonomic thumb placement for easy reach across the register- certainly in contrast with many 12 string guitars. The Lacquered Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, and along with its 10” radius makes chordal playing, bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The wide body provides a ‘connected’ feeling when playing, while the double cutaway gives easy access to the entire fretboard, even up to the 24th fret.
Unplugged, the 330/12 has a bright, clear and resonant sound thanks to its semi-hollow Maple construction. This can be clearly heard when amplified, and helps to deliver a lively and responsive playing experience. The single coil pickups provide all of the jangle that you would expect from a Rickenbacker. They sound clear, with plenty of chime while still feeling full bodied, and handling a surprising amount of gain. The 330/12 responds well to overdrive, feeling quite lively, yet stable, due to its centre block. A fantastic example of an iconic instrument and at 33 years old, one with genuine vintage vibe.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition. Chipping of the finish is apparent to the top front edge and the front face between the E&A string machine heads, revealing the wood beneath. Further indentation is apparent, with the most notable beside the high E machine head cracking the finish. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentation is apparent in the early register of the fingerboard, as well as at the bass side edge by the 9th fret. Further light indentation is apparent to the rear of the neck infrequently, most notably to the treble side by the first fret. A chip is apparent at the treble side by the 5th fret of the rear, revealing the wood beneath.
Body: Overall very good condition. Moderate indentations are apparent to the bass side horn, cracking the finish. Lighter indentation can be seen to the treble side horn, and are consistent around the edges of the instrument. The rear demonstrates moderate buckle rash which does not pierce the finish. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible under direct lighting, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is noticeable through the early register. This improves as you move up the neck.
