Here for sale we have a PRS SE Mark Holcomb Signature Electric Guitar in Holcomb Burst finish. Made in Korea in 2019, this signature model comes from the guitarist of progressive metal/djent heroes Periphery. Featuring a set neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Maple top and Quilted Maple Veneer, Maple neck and 24 fret Ebony fingerboard. Black Chrome hardware is fitted including a PRS Plate Style string-through-body bridge and a set of Locking tuning machines. A pair of Mark Holcomb signature Seymour Duncan passive humbuckers are installed, with an Omega in the bridge and an Alpha in the neck. These are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls, with a push/pull coil split on the tone knob.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the Wide Thin profile offering a fast and articulate playing experience across the register. The Satin finish to the rear ensures that navigation of the 25.5" scale is smooth and effortless, whilst the signature PRS sculpted lower horn ensures unrestricted access to the upper frets. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its notably flat 20" radius is well suited to rapid lead lines and solos. The smooth lines of the body are supremely comfortable in the arms, with the Shallow Violin top carve - a feature previously only available on PRS's 'Paul's Guitar'- providing a smooth surface for the arm to rest on.
The pair of Mark Holcomb signature Seymour Duncan passive humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver articulate and precise tones, with a high output for producing saturated distortion sounds. The Omega in the bridge is aggressive whilst retaining plenty of clarity and brightness for accurate sounding low-end riffing. The Omega in the neck is rounder, with all of the power required to drive your solos and lead lines to the front of the mix. Handling incredible amounts of gain with ease, these pickups are equally adept at clean sounds, with a glassy crystalline sound on offer with subtler amp settings. The inclusion of a push/pull coil split is a welcome addition that offers single-coil style tones without having to change guitars.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top treble side corner demonstrates a moderate chip revealing the wood beneath. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most notable to the front face.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck has buffed slightly from satin to a semi-gloss through regular use.
Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light to moderate scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most notable to the rear face consistent with mild buckle rash. The bottom edge of the rear demonstrates a notable scratch, piercing the top clear coat.
Condition of Frets:
The frets show moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Flattening of the frets is noticeable through the entire register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear. The bridge demonstrates moderate oxidation and tarnishing. The pickup mounting rings are scratched in places, with the bridge mounting ring being cracked on the bass side corner closest to the bridge. The screws for the pickup height, switch, and pickup mounting rings demonstrate notable rusting, remaining fully functional. The original PRS tuning machines have been replaced with a set of unbranded locking tuning machines, the original ones are not included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
