Here for sale we have a PRS Custom 24 in Vintage Yellow finish. Made in the USA in 2010, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Flame Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard, inlaid with abalone bird outlines. Nickel hardware is fitted including a vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge and PRS locking sealed tuning machines. A pair of PRS HFS Treble & Vintage Bass humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way rotary switch, master volume and master tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with the 'Pattern' profile offering a smooth, responsive and articulate paying experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is well suited to lead players as it is slim enough for fast melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, and the double cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, it's 10" radius feeling practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques whilst the attractive Abalone inlays add a touch of luxury to the playing experience.
The pair of PRS humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, with plenty of switching options to ensure versatility. The neck position is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to push those lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated rhythm guitar sound on your riffs and power chords. In positions 2 & 4 the pickups effectively split, providing an out-of-phase single coil sound which works well for crystal clear shimmering clean sounds. The control layout remains simple but offers plenty of scope for shaping your tone.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The top points of the headstock demonstrate chipping and indentation which reveals the wood, more notable on the bass side rear tip. A light scuff mark is present at the bass side front edge near the D tuner. Very light ‘hanger rash’ is present at either side of the nut. Light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Clouding of the finish is present at the rear of the neck, most notable in the higher register and at the heel. The fingerboard edges demonstrate chipping of the lacquer, exposing the wood in some cases. This is more notable along the treble side edge. Light scratching of the fingerboard is visible under close scrutiny.
Body: Overall very good condition. Clouding of the finish is apparent inside the cutaways, more notable on the bass side. At the top rear edge of the body close to the heel, mild scuffing which does not pierce the finish is present. Light to mild scratching and indentation is scattered across all aspects of the body, but is more notable to the rear face where markings consistent with buckle rash are present. Some light discoloration is present infrequently around the front edge, most notably at the bottom close to the lower strap button. Milder scratching of the front face is present between the pickups, consistent with playwear.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with light indentation in the early frets and flattening of the crowns throughout the register. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future light fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: No concerns or issues to note. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The pickup rings show light cracking at the corners but remain functional. The bridge shows very light tarnishing, and a small chip in the chrome plating at the bass side.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
