Here for sale we have a Peavey Tracer Electric Guitar in Gloss White finish. Made in the USA in 1991, this bolt-on construction guitar features a Poplar body, a Maple 'D' profile neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include 6-in-line tuners, chrome hardware, a 6-saddle tremolo bridge, and a HSS configuration of Peavey pickups. The pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a 5-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a profile resembling a ‘D’, allowing for easy fretting in any register and providing ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 12” radius makes bending and vibrato techniques a breeze, whilst offering a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for quick lead lines. The Medium Jumbo frets enhance vibrato techniques at speed whilst also providing a rock-solid and smooth playing experience.
The Peavey pickups in this guitar offer a great versatile sound, they produce a mixture of sparkly tones with a hint of a darker undertones, whilst retaining clarity with each note. The humbucker in the bridge offers a full driving mid range with great harmonic overtones, and a top end that produces a crunchy edge. The middle pickup produces a smooth single coil sound with more output and more mids, providing bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup provides a warm, rounded sound, offering a smooth tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones, a versatile guitar for tone scaping.
