Here for sale we have an Ovation Standard Balladeer 2571AX 12-String Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Black finish. Made in Korea in 2019, this guitar consists of a Solid A-Grade Sitka Spruce top, a Lyrachord GS body, a 5-piece Mahogany/Maple neck, and a 20-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard. Other appointments include a Pearl Oak Leaf rosette and dot/diamond inlays, Die cast Ovation machine heads, an OCP-1K pickup, and an OP-Pro preamp. This preamp has controls for gain, high, mid, low, pre-EQ, and an onboard tuner.
The 5-piece Mahogany/Maple neck plays well, with a rather slim profile which lends itself well to a wide variety of styles and techniques. The neck profile is a clear but soft 'V' shape which provides a distinctive yet refined playing experience across the register. The 'V' profile is often overlooked amongst a sea of 'C' and 'Low Oval' shapes, which is a shame because it is a highly ergonomic shape which can add a lot of character to an instrument. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 25.25" scale.
The Standard Balladeer 2571AX features a Deep Contour Lyrachord GS body which is not only incredibly comfortable in both a seated and standing position, but provides the guitar with excellent acoustic volume and clarity. The A-Grade Solid Sitka Spruce top adds a good amount of brightness to enhance the 12-string shimmer. The Ovation preamp system does an excellent job of conveying the acoustic voice of the instrument, with the on-board controls offering plenty of scope to shape and sculpt your sound to any live or recording situation.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching throughout, most notably around the g string winding post. Indentations are apparent to the top edge on both the bass and treble side, marking the finish but not revealing the wood beneath.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Light finish cracking is apparent to the treble side of the neck's heel, where it joins the body. These cannot be felt in the playing position and in no way affect the instruments structural stability or performance.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the front face demonstrate light to mild scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. One notable mark which can be seen regardless of lighting is apparent to the treble side waist, near the binding. Any markings to the back bowl are difficult to discern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with mild to moderate denting in the early register, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light tarnishing is apparent to the tuners.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
