Here for sale we have a Martin LX1E Travel Electro-Acoustic Guitar in Satin Natural finish. Affectionately named the 'Little Martin' this guitar was made in Mexico in 2020 and features a Mortise & Tenon construction comprising a Solid Spruce top, Mahogany Pattern High Pressure Laminate (HPL) back and sides, Rust Birch Laminate neck and 20 fret Richlite fingerboard with matching bridge. Chrome Martin sealed tuning machines are fitted along with a White Tusq saddle and White Corian nut. A Fishman Sonitone undersaddle piezo pickup is installed, and is wired to discreet sound hole mounted master volume and tone controls. 
 
The Rust Birch Laminate neck is attractive in appearance and plays well, with the Modified Low Oval profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial yet comfortable grip, well suited to both chordal and melodic playing styles. The Satin finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 23" scale, making the instrument feel very easily manoeuvrable. The Richlite fretboard is pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register. Its traditional 16" radius is well suited to a wide range of playing styles and techniques, perfect for the musician on the move. 
 
The acoustic voice of the Martin LX1E is rich and surprisingly well balanced for such a small-bodied guitar. The low end whilst unpronounced remains accurate and warm. The mid range is open and clear and is complimented well by a nice bright top end. The Solid Spruce top projects well, providing an impressive level of volume as well as a wide and sensitive dynamic range. The addition of an undersaddle piezo pickup is a great touch which provides the versatility required for both live and recording situations, making this a highly portable and usable instrument.
