Here for sale we have a Line 6 Variax JTV-69 Modelling guitar in Black finish. Built in Korea in 2011, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured consists of a Custom Tyler designed 2-point bridge and a custom designed locking tuning machines. The pickups are a pair of Alnico Single Coils and a Alnico Humbucker, as well as these this guitar is equipped with 11 built in alternative tunings and two user programmable settings, and 11 built in guitar models. These are wired to a 5-way selector, master volume and master tone.
 
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, whilst the ‘Tyler '69’ profile provides a relatively vintage feel. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 12” radius offers a smooth and comfortable playing surface, while the medium jumbo frets enhance vibrato and string bending techniques and also provide a rock-solid and smooth playing experience. The familiar lines of the Strat-style body feel comfortable in the arms, with generous contours that ensure comfort in both seated and standing positions. The Variax controls are simple to use, with a pair of rotary selectors for choosing the different tuning modes and guitar models. These are conveniently placed below the regular volume and tone controls, meaning that they are within easy reach without getting in the way. 
 
The Alnico single-coil pickups and Alnico humbucker provide a classic ‘Strat’ sound. The neck pickup gives a warm but crystal clear tone whereas the bridge pickup produces more punching and cutting trebly sound. Each pickup has its own unique voicing, and can be mixed to the player's desired sound with the master volume and tone control.The Variax controls offer a quite astonishing array of sounds, with built-in alternative tunings ranging from Drop D to DADGAD that sound incredibly authentic and convincing. The guitar models are based on some of the finest instruments of the guitar world, with Telecaster, Stratocaster, Les Paul and even Rickenbacker sounds available with just a twist of the selector. An incredible selection of authentic sounds available from just one guitar, in a well appointed and well thought out package.
