Here for sale we have a Lakewood D-14 CP Electro Acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Germany in 2005, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising Mahogany back and sides, Spruce top, Cedro neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double-bound in Maple, whilst the top is handsomely adorned with multi-stripe purfling and a Mahogany & Abalone Rosette. Chrome Lakewood sealed tuning machines are fitted, along with an L.R. Baggs StagePro Element system, with shoulder-mounted controls for master volume, notch filter, 3-band EQ and phase reverse controls, along with an on-board tuner.
The Cedro neck plays very well, with the 'C' shape profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, whilst remaining slim enough for articulate melodic playing. The 25.6" scale length is traditional for this style of guitar and ensures that fret spacing is well suited to both melodic and chordal playing styles, whilst providing firm string tension for a nice bright tone. The Ebony fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, adding a real sense of luxury to the playing experience. The 14" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques, whilst the cutaway body design enhances access to the upper register.
The acoustic voice of the Lakewood D-14 CP is rich and well-balanced. The dreadnought body shape is well known for its strong bass response and excellent projection. This instrument is no exception, with a robust yet not overpowering low end that provides plenty of warmth to the overall tone. The mid range is open and clear, whilst the top end is bright and shimmering, especially when playing with a pick. The aftermarket L.R. Baggs StagePro Element system installed in this guitar is an extremely well regarded preamp which does a fantastic job of conveying the acoustic voice of the instrument in both live and recording situations.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall very good condition. The top edge shows very light indentation and shipping of the finish, most notable to the rear edge and corners. A small indentation which does not pierce the finish is present to the rear face between the D & G tuners, with light scratching visible towards the top of the rear face.
Overall very good condition. Light denting is present to the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the bass side behind the 1st fret and can be lightly felt under the thumb in playing position. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Overall very good condition. The treble side of the guitar has had a crack and finish repair. The repair is structurally sound and the blend of the finish is adequate, with some overspray visible under direct lighting at certain angles. The repair site is smooth to the touch. All aspects of the body show very light scratching under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. The treble side of the waist shows light indentation and scratching consistent with mild playwear. The rear face shows mild scratching and indentation consistent with light buckle rash. Very light indentation is present around the edge of the lower bout front face.
