Here for sale we have a JZ Microphones Vintage 12 Large Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone. Latvia-based JZ Microphones was established in 2007 by founder Juris Zarins, and is based on marrying the principles of open-minded innovation with striking visual design. Certainly, the V12  is a unique-looking microphone thanks to a rather large hole in its small body. Pair this with the fact that the internal shock mount negates the need for an external one and you have a microphone that is striking enough to inspire even the most experienced of singers.
 
The Vintage 12 is sonically inspired by the legendary AKG C12, which used a unique capsule design and tube technology to deliver a rich, silky clarity and fullness. The JZ V12 makes use of more modern transistor technology and their own 'Golden Drop' capsule to emulate the C12 in a vintage-styled yet durable package. 
 
The frequency response of the V12 is designed to deliver rich clarity and luscious character, especially for vocals. A slight scoop in the upper mids is paired with a wide bell-lift in the top end to ensure that the output never becomes too bright or dark. A subtle valve-like character from the transistors adds warmth without becoming too saturated, meaning that the V12 is equally as appropriate for use with acoustic guitar as it is with male or female vocals, and the solid low end response means it can be used with drums just as easily.
