Ibanez SR300e Iron Pewter 2015 Electric Bass
Here for sale we have a Ibanez SR300E electric bass in Iron Pewter finish. Built in Indonesia in 2015, this bass features a Mahogany body, Satin finished 5-Piece Maple and Rosewood neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This bass is fitted with an Accu-cast B120 bridge and sealed tuning machines. The pickups featured are a pair of Ibanez EXF-4 passive pickups, these are wired to an Ibanez EQB-IIID 3 band electronics that consists of master volume, bass, middle, treble EQ’s and a Balancer.
 
The 5-Piece Maple and Rosewood neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘SR4’ profile feeling slim, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 12” radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, which allows for different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Satin finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire 24 fret register.
 
The pair of Ibanez EXF-4 pickups produces a modern voicing, thick low end is present which complements the driving mids and sparkling top end, helping put your playing front and centre in the mix. The simplistic nature of the control layout provides the player with an easy ‘plug in and go’ characteristic for ease of tonal sculpting.

    Aesthetic Condition:
    Headstock: Overall very good condition. The tip of the headstock displays scuff marks and some paint transfer, these are unable to be removed. The front face of the headstock displays light scratching visible under direct.
    Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck displays discoloration, the most noticeable of these which can be seen behind the first fret, this is common with satin finishes and regular use. Light indentations can be slightly felt to the rear of the neck, the most noticeable of these can be felt at the 11th fret and the bass of the neck where it meets the body.  light scratching to the fingerboard visible under direct light
    Body: Overall very good condition. All faces present light scratching and indentations, the most noticeable scratching can be seen to the front face lower bout on the treble side. The rear face also present light scratching which can be seen near the battery compartment, this is common with regular use on a high gloss finish. Near the control cavity on the rear face treble side edge a indentation is present, this has broken through the lacquer but has not exposed the wood.

     

    Condition of Frets:
    The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:
    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
    Hardware: Overall very good condition. The hardware displays mild signs or tarnishing and oxidation, this is common with regular use. The control knobs have all had a line drawn on them by a previous owner. Underneath the treble control the washer displays signs of rust.
    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.25mm

    Strings on Guitar - 45-100

     

    This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is only mildly apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
