Here for sale we have an Ibanez S1220 Electric Guitar in Black Sunburst finish. Made in Japan in 2002, this bolt-on neck constructed guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a 3-Piece Maple/Bubinga neck and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured consists of a Cosmo Black Edge tremolo bridge and a set of Gotoh SG381 sealed tuning machines. The pickups installed in this guitar are a pair of Dimarzio humbuckers with a Tone Zone in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck position, these are wired to a 5-way pickup selector, master volume and a master tone control.
The Maple ‘Wizard Prestige’ profile neck sits comfortably in the hand, and with its Satin finish provides a quick and smooth surface to navigate on. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers whilst the 15.75” radius and Jumbo frets assist with string bending and vibrato techniques, feeling rock solid under the fingers and providing a smooth and reliable playing surface. The body cutaways provide unobstructed access right up to the 24nd fret and the incredibly thin body provides a lightweight guitar that is comfortable in both sitting and standing positions.
This guitar is fitted with a set of Dimarzio humbuckers. The bridge pickup delivers a powerful but balanced rock and metal tone with rich upper-midrange harmonic content. The low strings are tight and the high strings scream with harmonics, making it a go-to pickup for hard-hitting crunch rhythms and blazing lead tones. The neck position offers all the soloing clarity you could wish for, with sweet sustain and a warm, full sound that still possesses a clear attack providing a hot output delivering smooth, fluid solo tones under gain, while still being capable of bell-like clean tones.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall very good condition, the tip of the headstock demonstrates several light indentations which do not pierce the finish. The front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates a moderate indentation behind the 2nd fret to the treble side of the skunk stripe. This cannot be felt under the thumb in playing position. Further very light indentation is apparent throughout the register which cannot be felt under the thumb in playing position and can only be seen under direct lighting at certain angles.
Overall very good condition, the bottom edge demonstrates a moderate chip to the finish revealing the wood beneath. Further light indentation can be identified along the bottom edge. The front face demonstrates a patch of consistent light scratching beside the treble side of the pickups which causes a hazing of the finish in certain lighting. Some moderate scratching is apparent by the backplate to the rear of the body.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use with some light indentation in the early register, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) not included.
