Here for sale we have an Ibanez AZ224F Electric Guitar in Black Ice finish. Built in 2019 in Indonesia, this guitar features an American Basswood body with a Flamed Maple top, a one-piece Roasted Maple neck, and a Roasted Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, a Gotoh T1502 Tremolo bridge, Gotoh SG381 H.A.P. Magnum Lock machine heads, along with a trio of Seymour Duncan Hyperion Passive Alnico pickups, single coils in neck and middle position with a humbucker at the bridge.
 
The Roasted Maple neck plays well in its satin finish, its profile feeling fairly flat, though not as pronounced as with some of Ibanez’s other solid body guitars, overall providing a quick and easy playing surface that gives great thumb positioning for fluid, legato playing. The jumbo fret wire feels rock solid and is excellent for bending, along with the contoured cutaway and neck heel giving full unobstructed access to the upper frets.
 
The Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickup set sounds modern and powerful, with crisp and articulate single coils in neck and middle position in contrast to the thick and driving humbucker at the bridge. The Dyna-MIX9 switching system with ‘Alter Switch’ toggle allows you to select neck and middle pickups in either series or parallel when in positions 3 and 5. This gives a humbucker-like tone, offering deeper lows and a thicker midrange. This switch also alters how the pickups are selected in other positions, giving you a total of 10 different switching options, making this guitar an immensely versatile instrument.
