Here for sale we have a Guild DeArmond M-75 electric guitar in Antique Burst finish. Built in Korea in 1999, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Carved Maple top, Maple neck and 22 Medium fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with a Tune-O-Matic bridge and a DeArmond Harp tailpiece along with a set of sealed tuning machines. The Pickups are a pair of DeArmond Goldtone humbuckers, these are wired to a 3-way selector, bridge volume, bridge tone, neck volume and a neck tone control.

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a chunky profile resembling a ‘C’ shape, filling the hand without being too cumbersome, providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth playing surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius and Medium frets making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The lines of the body feel great in the arms making both seated and standing positions a comfortable affair, whilst the single cutaway offers unobstructed access to the higher frets.

The DeArmond Goldtone humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The DeArmond Goldtone humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a tonality similar to a single-coil pickup(see report) providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips.
