Here for sale we have a Gretsch Historic Series G3110 Archtop Hollow-Body electric guitar in Sunburst finish. Made in Korea in 2000, This guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Spruce top, Maple back & sides, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. Gold hardware is fitted including a 'G' trapeze tailpiece & sealed tuning machines. The Lower bout measures 16", whilst the body features traditional archtop appointments such as 'Cat Eye' sound holes, Rosewood compensated bridge & floating pickguard. The body is double bound in Ivoroid whilst the top features multi-stripe purfling. The fingerboard is inlaid with MoP 'Thumbnails', matching the 'Gretsch' logo on the headstock. A pair of DeArmond Dynasonic single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a fairly slim 'C' shape. This works well for a wide variety of playing styles & techniques; Slim enough for articulate lead lines whilst retaining enough character and thickness to inspire confidence when chord playing and comping. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck works in conjunction with the smooth Rosewood fingerboard and 14" radius to provide a playing surface which feels easy to navigate and practical for both lead & rhythm playing. The smooth lines of the body are indeed large, but do provide comfort in standing & seated positions.
The pair of DeArmond Dynasonic single-coil pickups deliver bright and clear tones, with plenty of chime and spank when required. With independent volume controls, it is possible to blend the pickups in an infinite number of combinations. anything from rockabilly, blues or jazz tones are available here, whilst the hollow-body construction keeps the playing experience lively and responsive. The 3-way tone switch offers 3 voices, providing an unfettered signal from the pickups, stronger bass response or slight treble roll off. In conjunction with the other controls, there are an incredible variety of tones on offer with this instrument.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. A very light indentation is present to the bass side edge of the front face between the A & D tuning machines. This has caused very light delamination of the finish. On the bass side of the top edge very light markings can be seen under direct light. Light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The fingerboard shows light to mild indentations in the first fret. These markings are not felt under the fingers in the playing position. A very small indentation is present to the centre rear of the neck behind the 5th fret.
Body: Overall very good condition. A light lacquer crack is present to the treble side of the neck pocket. This has been tested and does not present any structural concern. Light scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable to the centre of the rear face, consistent with playwear.
Condition of Frets:
Very light lifting of the fret ends is present, most notable in the higher register. This does not affect the playability of the instrument. The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. All of the metal hardware shows light to mild tarnishing. This is most notable to the control knobs. The nut has been replaced with a slightly slimmer Tusq one, leaving a small amount of the nut shelf exposed.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
