Here for sale we have a Greco EG600P in Gloss Black finish. Made in Japan in 1977, this guitar was modeled after Peter Frampton's famous LP Custom the "Phenix", featuring a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Maple cap, Mahogany neck and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret bound Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with a set of Greco sealed tuning machines, a Chrome Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The pickups are a trio of Maxon U-1000 humbuckers, these are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, bridge/middle volume, bridge tone, middle/neck volume, middle/neck tone.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 60’s Slim profile providing a much slimmer shape when compared with more traditional necks. This allows for more technical playing to be executed more ergonomically whilst still retaining the solid feel of a Gibson neck. The traditional 12" fingerboard radius strikes the perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and smooth lead lines, making for a truly authentic yet refined Les Paul playing experience, whilst the Rosewood fingerboard adorned with 22 frets provides a rock-solid playing surface whilst also assisting with string bending and vibrato techniques.
The trio of Maxon U-1000 humbuckers in this guitar offer warm and rich tones, exactly as you would expect from a guitar with a branded name. The Maxon U-1000 neck humbucker is thick and creamy, saturating beautifully into full-bodied distortion as you crank the gain whilst turning the volume and tone controls provides a crisp, crystalline clean tone. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Maxon U-1000 humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. The control layout keeps things feeling simple, with easy and intuitive tonal shaping.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top rear edge demonstrates a moderate indentation chipping the finish, this is most noticeable to the top edge of the rear face.. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching and indentation, more notable to the edges. This is to be expected with a guitar of this age.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates notable indentations across the register, these have previously had touch up paint applied by a previous owner. These can be felt under the thumb in playing position. Light scratching is apparent throughout the register of both the fingerboard and rear of the neck.
Body: Overall good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate consistent scratching, indentation, and chipping of the finish, some of these have exposed the wood beneath, some of these have had touch up paint applied by a previous owner. A previous owner has applied a star sticker to the bass side of the front face, after this they have painted over it with black paint which creates an uneven texture. Two holes are present to the rear face and bass side shoulder, this is consistent with a previous owner moving the strap buttons.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with indentation apparent in the early register and flattening of the crowns apparent throughout. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
