Here for sale we have a Gibson SG Special in Faded Brown finish. Made in the USA in 2007, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body and Mahogany neck with 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece, with Nickel Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with Kluson-style 'Tulip' buttons. A pair of Gibson humbucking pickups are installed, with a 490R in the neck and 490T in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays well, with what could be described as a rather chunky 'D' profile that fills the hand nicely without feeling at all cumbersome. The open-pore Satin finish to the rear of the neck is very pleasant to the touch, and assists with smooth transitions up and down the register. The traditional 12" fingerboard radius feels as flat and consistent as ever, offering comfortable playability right the way up the neck. The familiar twin horns of the SG body provide uninhibited access to the upper frets, whilst the contoured edges of the body ensure that it sits snugly in the arms for a comfortable playing experience.
The pair of Gibson humbuckers in this guitar are well regarded by Gibson players for their versatility. Whilst the hard rock tones you would expect from an SG are clearly present, the pickups offer a nice smooth and rounded tone that is suitable for a wide range of styles. Country and Blues players will like the bite of bridge pickup, whilst the warmth of the neck position can be appropriate for jazzy sounds, especially when rolling down the tone control. Independent volume and tone pots offer comprehensive control of your sound, making this a real workhorse instrument that matches the versatility of the musician.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Light indentation can be seen to the edges, most notably the top where light scratching is also present. Very light scratching to the front face can be seen under direct light, as is common with satin finishes.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. The rear of the neck displays light indentations across the register, difficult to discern from the open-pore finish. This is most notable behind the 8th fret but does not impact the playability of the instrument. Very light scratching to the fingerboard is scattered inconsistently across the register. These can be seen under close scrutiny but are not felt under the fingers. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has polished to a light gloss through regular use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Very light indentation which does not pierce the finish is present to the treble side edge close to the horn. The satin finish of the body has polished to a light gloss in high contact areas such as the treble side waist, rear face of the bass side horn and where the right forearm would make contact with the body. Very light scratching to all aspects of the body can be seen under close scrutiny. The pickguard and rear control plate show milder scratching consistent with light playwear.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
