Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Classic in Honey Burst finish. Made in the USA in 2022, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with carved Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including Tune-O-Matic bridge, StopBar tailpiece and Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Gibson 60’s Burstbucker humbuckers, these are wired to the standard Les Paul controls with the addition of push/pull coil-splitting on both the bridge and neck volume controls.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with its Slim Taper profile providing all the 'chunk' and character you would expect from a Gibson without being at all cumbersome. The Gloss finish to the rear assists in smooth transitions up and down the neck, whilst the traditional 12" fingerboard radius offers a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The familiar lines of the Les Paul body feel as comfortable as ever in the arms, whilst the 9-hole weight relief adds practicality whilst retaining a traditionally hefty feel.
The Gibson 60’s Burstbucker humbucker in the neck position provides the thick and creamy tone that Les Paul's are renowned for. A warm yet detailed low end is complemented by a rich mid range and sweet trebles, with roundness and plenty of sustain for rock solo tones. TheGibson 60’s Burstbucker in the bridge is hotter, with a high output and bright glassy tone with clean settings that drives into beautifully saturated harmonic distortion as you crank the gain. The traditional Les Paul control layout offers comprehensive control of your tone without over complicating things. The inclusion of a push/pull coil split is a welcome addition that offers single-coil style tones without having to change guitars.
