Here for sale we have a Fractal Audio Systems Axe-FX II rack mount unit. Fractal Audio Engineering was founded in the USA 2006 by Cliff Chase. The original Axe-FX was Fractal's debut product, and although it was sold within the 'digital amplifier modeler' category, Chase has argued that it in fact does not match this classification, as he designed it to offer a modern solution to guitarists who wanted to recreate the sound of classic amps with expanded tonal control. The Axe-FX was extremely successful, finding its way into the recording studios and  touring rigs of Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Matt Bellamy, Metallica and even John Mayer.
 
The Axe-FX II features over 180 different amp models, using a dedicated TigerSHARC DSP processor to emulate the pre & power stages of the amplifier for unmatched accuracy & flexibility. There are also 150 different cab simulators and space for 512 user cabs, which can be downloaded or created from your own cab collection. A second TigerSHARC DSP processor is used to manage the extensive range of effects, including 29 different drive pedals, 19 reverbs, pedal, studio and optical compressors, guitar synths and much, much more. The routing of the effects is also highly customisable, allowing you to emulate entire rigs or even create setups never before possible. The unit can be connected to your Mac or PC and used as a 2x4 audio interface with MIDI connectivity. You can capture the output of the unit alongside a simultaneous dry track for post processing. 
 
The Axe-FX II is a professional level unit with an incredible emulation, customization and connectivity that is sure to enhance your live or recording tone. Whilst not the latest model from Fractal, it is still certainly an incredible sounding unit which is highly usable in 2025.
