Here for sale we have a Fender Modern Player Marauder Electric Guitar in Lake Placid Blue finish. Built in China in 2011, this guitar features a Koto body with a bolt-on Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with a Synthetic Bone nut, aftermarket Gold pickguard and Chrome hardware including a 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Strat String-Through-Body Hardtail bridge and Vintage-Style tuning machines. A Fender Triplebucker is fitted in the bridge and a Fender Modern Player Jazzmaster is fitted in the neck. These are wired to a 5-Position blade, master volume and tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the "C” neck profile feeling slim enough to comfortably play lines across the whole register, but substantial enough to provide satisfying tactile feedback when chord playing. The Gloss finish feels slick in the hand ensuring smooth navigation across the neck register. The jumbo frets help enhance string bending and vibrato techniques and coupled with the 9.5” radius it’s an ideal middle ground for players who want both comfortable chord playing and practicality for melodic lead lines and string bends.
The Triple bucker is a stand out feature on this guitar with its own unique characteristics. The bridge pickup growls, with a full low end that can clean up to a sparkly tone. The neck position brings a thicker, darker single-coil sound, yet still delivers the clarity and fullness you would expect. Both pickups sound thick and rich, with a rounded low end, tight and punchy midrange and clear, articulate high end that cuts through a mix with ease. The upgraded 5-way pickup selector expands the options for the player greatly, with various pickup configurations available at the tips of your fingers and the ability to split the Triplebucker to get the most out of it.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. Any other markings to the headstock are difficult to discern.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Most notably a scratching in line with the 7th fret, which can be felt by the fingertip upon inspection but not by the hand in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light to mild scratching and indentations throughout, most notably an indentation to the 6th fret between the G and B strings. This cannot be felt beneath the strings and does not affect the instrument's feel or playability.
Body: Overall good condition. All aspects of the body are subject to light to moderate scratching and indentations. Most notably indentations to the front face lower bout centre and to the bass side in line with the bridge. The rear face demonstrates numerous notable indentations throughout. These indentations have marked the finish but have not removed any to reveal the wood beneath. One of the rear tremolo cavity screw holes has chipped away the wood, not affecting the back plate's security.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Mild tarnishing is apparent to the bridge and tuners. With moderate tarnishing to the control and neck plates.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
