Here for sale we have a stunning Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster in Trans Cobalt Blue finish. This guitar was crafted in the USA by Fender's finest luthiers in 2011, and of course features a bolt-on construction comprising a Swamp Ash body and one piece Birdseye Maple neck & fingerboard, inlaid with Abalone dots. Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point tremolo bridge with block saddles & sealed short post locking tuning machines. A trio of Fender Custom Shop 'Master Design' single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone & middle/bridge tone controls. 
 
The Birdseye Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with a profile which feels slightly larger than some of Fender's modern necks. This delivers a playing experience which is distinct and somewhat vintage-inspired. When paired with the handsome figuring of the Birdseye Maple and Abalone inlays, the result is an instrument which feels exclusive and personal- especially when considering the unusual one-piece construction of the neck and fingerboard. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, with the controls well within reach for tweaking mid-song. The sculpted heel of the neck is a common feature in Fender's line up today, but was still rather a novelty in 2011. 
 
The trio of Custom Shop 'Master Design' single-coil pickups deliver authentic and traditional Stratocaster tones with more than a hint of Custom Shop refinement. The neck is warm and smooth, creating rich buttery tones for your solos and lead lines that have plenty of power to cut through the mix. The middle position is brighter and works fantastically for funky rhythm sounds. The bridge pickup is brighter still without sounding at all brittle or harsh, and with a hot output can drive your amp into a searing overdrive tone for rock rhythm parts. The signature Strat 'honk' can be heard in positions 2 & 4, and completes a very versatile range of tones, just as the Strat is renowned for. The volume and tone controls are nice and responsive, allowing you to make small tweaks when playing and ensuring you remain in full control of your tone at all times. A very striking instrument with buckets of Custom Shop refinement.
