Here for sale we have a Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster Special in 3-Colour Sunburst finish. Made in Mexico in 2013, a bolt-on construction is featured, and comprises an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a vintage-style Floating Tremolo tailpiece, Adjusto-Matic Bridge and Fender Vintage-Style tuning machines. A pair of Special Design Hot Single-Coil Jazzmaster pickups are installed, and are wired to Lead Circuit Controls (Slide Switch Down): Volume (Neck), Volume (Bridge), Master Tone; Rhythm Circuit Controls (Slide Switch Up): Two Thumbwheel Controls for Neck Pickup Volume and Tone.
 
The Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘C’ shape profile sitting comfortably in the hand and facilitating smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale. The profile encourages ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers for a highly practical playing experience. The 9.5” radius works equally well for chordal and melodic playing, whilst the Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, providing a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the neck. Medium Jumbo frets enhance the feel of vibrato and string bending techniques as well as a rock-solid feel under the fingers. The offset design of the Jazzmaster body is as comfortable as ever, with the extensive controls well-set out for small adjustments while playing. 
 
The duo of Special Design Hot Single-Coils Jazzmaster pickups deliver a Modern tone, with glistening brightness that easily cuts through the mix. The neck position provides a smooth and rounded low end which works well for both chordal playing and melodic lines. The bridge position on the lead circuit is of course brighter, and can achieve a searing crunch or overdrive tone whilst retaining plenty of vintage warmth. As always with a Jazzmaster, the rhythm provides a darker sound which is well suited to jazzy lines or shoegaze-y chords.
