Here for sale we have a Fender American Special Telecaster Electric Guitar in Olympic White finish. Made in the USA in 2010, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a set of Fender Enclosed Chrome tuners, and Ashtray bridge with Brass Barrel saddles, and an upgraded set of Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Andy Summers HS pickups. These pickups are wired to a volume control, tone control, and a 5-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial yet articulate grip across the register. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, with its open-pore finish providing a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up to the 22nd fret. Its 9.5" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing; balanced perfectly between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and solos. The Jumbo frets provide a rock-solid feel under the fingers whilst enhancing the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques, as well as reducing the pressure needed to fret a note for a speedier playing neck.
This guitar has been fitted with a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Andy Summers HS Set which features Alnico V magnets. The neck pickup provides warm glassy clean sounds that are thick, smooth and pack a real punch. The middle position is slightly brighter with a detailed mid range that is a perfect blend of the humbucker and single coil, whilst the bridge position provides all of the brightness and spank that you would expect. The pickups handle overdrive well, with anything from crunchy blues tones to hard rock sounds well within reach, making this guitar fit into a wide range of musical styles and a perfect workhorse. The 5-way selector offers plenty of tonal range with options for; Humbucker, Humbucker Split, Humbucker coil in series, Single Coil and split Humbucker, and Single Coil.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light indentations, most notably to the top edge, near the low E string tuning peg and the edges of the front face.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Small indentations/finish imperfections are apparent to the 11th fret of the fingerboard. The rear of the neck demonstrates small indentations in line with the 12th fret to the treble side. These cannot be felt beneath the string or by the hand in playing position and in no way affect the feel or playability. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching, scuffing and indentations. Most notably a chip to the finish at the bass side of the front face's lower bout, which reveals the wood beneath. Similar markings can be seen to the waist and lower bout of the rear face. The treble side of the rear face lower bout demonstrates numerous indentations which have not pierced the finish. The front face lower bout the treble side edge demonstrates scuff and wear marks, lightly revealing the wood beneath in some areas.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with mild denting in the early register, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) is not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light scratching and tarnishing is apparent to the neck plate and pickup cover.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
