Here for sale we have a Epiphone G400 Deluxe in Flametop. Made in Korea in 2005 this guitar features a set-neck construction featuring a Mahogany body with Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard with Trapezoid inlays. Other appointments include Grover tuning machines. A pair of Epiphone humbucking are fitted and wired to a 3-way pickup selector and independent volume and tone controls.
The profile neck plays well, and feels dependable in the hand without being unwieldy. The gloss finish to the rear ensures easy navigation up and down the register, and the Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface. Medium jumbo frets improve string bending and vibrato, and mean that less pressure is needed to fret notes. The body is nice and slim as you would expect on an SG, making it comfortable in the arms and easy on the shoulders.
The Epiphone humbuckers sound thick and raw, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp nicely. The neck pickup is full, warm with added tightness, the midrange is perfectly balanced and easily cuts through any mix. The bridge pickup produces a biting tone which easily cuts through the mix for those rock rhythm sounds and has a great harmonic register. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front edge of the tip of the headstock demonstrates scuff marks and a small chip to the treble side, exposing the wood beneath. All faces demonstrate light scratch marks.
Neck: Overall very good condition. There is a very small indentation beside the 19th fret on the bass side, this cannot be felt underhand. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching
Body: Overall very good condition. All faces of the body demonstrate scratching, particularly to the rear face consistent with 'buckle wear'. The bass side of the front face displays a number of small indentations which do not pierce the finish. Similarly the edges have small indentations and scratches around the perimeter, consistent with past use.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate mild signs of wear, not effecting playability. There is substantial material remaining for future fret work,

This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.
