Here for sale we have an Epiphone G-400 in Cherry finish. Made in Korea in 2001, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Nickel hardware including LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece, as well as a set of vintage-style tuning machines with 'Tulip' buttons. The pickups installed are a pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic humbuckers, these are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a 'D' shape filling the hand nicely without being at all cumbersome and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The smooth finish to the rear ensures that navigation of the 24.75" scale is a breeze, whilst the twin cutaways enhance access to the upper frets- really opening up the full register of the instrument. The familiar lines of the SG body are as comfortable as ever ensuring that long practice sessions and gigs are fatigue-free.
The pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic passive humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to the hard rock and metal tones that are synonymous with this guitar's design. The neck pickup is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your solos to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter, and with a higher output drives the front end of an amp with ease, perfect for those searing rock rhythm parts. The controls are nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in the perfect tone right on the instrument.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light to mild scratching and scuff marks. This is most notable to the front face and top edge, where the front face demonstrates scuffing and cracking to the finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates mild to moderate scratching, most notably behind frets 10-13. These can be lightly felt in the playing position but do not detract from the overall playability of the instrument. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern.
Body: Overall good condition. Notable finish cracking is present surrounding the output jack. This is structurally secure and does not impact the stability of the output jack. Notable scratching is present to the rear face where a previous owner has scratched a smiley face at the bass side upper bout. Further moderate scratching is present across all aspects of the body, most notable at the centre of the rear face and beside the controls to the front face.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate notable signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and good condition. Mild tarnishing and scratching is apparent to the bridge, tailpiece, control knobs and pickup switch. A smiley face has been scratched into the pickguard.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
