Epiphone ES-339 Pro Vintage Sunburst 2015 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have an Epiphone ES-339 Pro in Vintage Sunburst finish. Built in China in 2015, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with a Duesenberg Les Trem II Retrofit Trem and a BM003 Tune-O-Matic Chrome Bridge with Roller Saddles, as well as a set of Grover Deluxe Kluson style tuning machines. The pickups are a pair of Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, wired to a 3-way toggle switch, individual volume and tone controls, with a coil split feature for each pickup. 
 
The SlimTaper 'D' profile Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, the slim profile allows for fast and easy navigation without feeling too thin. The 12” radius provides a great playing surface allowing for bending and vibrato techniques and the double cutaway body allows unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those jazzy style lead lines. The smaller, more compact size of the ES-339 makes it easier to play for extended periods of time compared to larger semi-hollow or hollow body guitars but not diminishing from the overall tone.
 
The semi-hollow body design of the ES-339 provides a warm, natural resonance that adds depth and dimension to the guitar's tone.  The solid centre block helps to reduce any unwanted feedback and unwanted resonance, resulting in a more defined sound. The Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers provide a warm, full-bodied tone with a balanced frequency response. They offer a rich, clear sound that is well-suited for a wide range of musical styles, the Push/Pull feature adds even more range, offering single-coil twang. A versatile instrument that can cover a lot of different styles from blues, jazz and hard hitting rock.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top front edge demonstrates some light scuffing, discoloring the finish very slightly. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. 

    Neck: Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates tooling markings beside the frets throughout the register. This is likely caused by heavy handed use of a fret file. These markings do not affect the playability of the instrument and cannot be felt under the finger.

    Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching and indentation, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. 

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with flattening of the crown apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

    Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. A retrofit tremolo system has been fitted to this instrument, alongside a roller saddle bridge. The nut has been replaced for bone and does not sit perfectly in the slot. This however does not affect sustain or functionality and all nut slots are cut to correct depth.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of string from 12th Fret- Treble 1.5mm - Bass 2mm
