Here for sale we have a Cort Yorktown hollow body electric guitar in Tobacco Burst finish. Made in China in 2022, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising Laminated Maple back and sides, Spruce top, Hard Maple neck and 20 fret Ovangkol fingerboard with matching bridge plate. Nickel hardware is fitted including a T-O-M bridge with 'C-Harp' trapeze-style tailpiece and vintage-style sealed tuning machines with Tulip buttons. A pair of Cort Voiced Tone VTH-59 humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls. 
 
The Hard Maple neck plays very well, with the 'C Shape' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial yet articulate playing experience across the register. Certainly, the neck is both comfortable and practical for chord playing and melodic lead lines. The Ovangkol of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with a dark appearance and nice tight grain adds a little touch of luxury to the playing experience. The smooth lines of the body are comfortable in the arms, whilst the generous cutaway enhances access to the upper frets. 
 
The hollow body construction of the Cort Yorktown delivers an open and airy tone, with a lively and responsive feel and plenty of dynamic range which feels sensitive to the touch. The pair of Cort Voiced Tone VTH-59 humbucking pickups sound thick and full-bodied, and do an excellent job of capturing the full frequency range from the instrument. The neck position is warm and round, and with the tone control rolled down delivers a lovely smooth jazz tone which is perfect for lead lines. The bridge pickup is brighter, and can handle quite a lot of gain for a convincing crunch tone which works well for blues and even rock sounds.
