Here for sale we have a beautiful Cordoba Master Series Esteso SP classical guitar in Natural High Gloss finish. Made in Mexico, this fine instrument is an homage to the work of one of Spain's greatest ever luthiers, Domingo Esteso. Active from the the late 1890s into the 1930s, his  instruments are renowned the world over for their light weight & small stature, yet strong volume & accurate response, and as such have remained highly prized by musicians. This instrument emulates the sound & response of Esteso's guitars by making use of his 5 Fan bracing design, small body & incredibly thin finish.

An all-solid Spanish heel construction is employed, and comprises a European Spruce top, Pau Ferro back & sides, Mahogany neck & 19 fret Ebony fingerboard. The bridge is made from Pau Ferro, whilst the saddle & nut are made from Bone. The body is double bound in Flame Maple, whilst the top is adorned with attractive purfling & Rosette inspired by Esteso's work. The tuning machines in the slotted headstock are a set of Cordoba Master Series tuners in Matte Gold with Pearloid buttons.

The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with a profile that might be described as a moderately-sized 'D' shape which sits very comfortably in the hand. The 2.05" nut width is traditional for a classical guitar and offers ample string spacing for accurate fretting and articulate note separation. The Ebony fretboard is pleasant under the fingers and adds a real sense of opulent luxury to the playing experience. The flat fingerboard radius is another traditional feature of classical guitars which ensures an authentic and practical experience across the register. The smooth lines of the body are supremely comfortable in the arms, and alongside the sprightly weight of 3.5lbs ensures that long practice sessions and performances with this instrument are an absolute breeze.

The voice of the Cordoba Master Series Esteso SP is both warm and precise, offering a distinct sonic character that is equally at home as a solo instrument or part of an ensemble. An unpronounced yet detailed low end provides the foundation for a smooth midrange and sparkling high frequencies that colour every note played on the instrument. The Spruce top projects exceptionally well, and offers a sensitive dynamic range- gentle playing is rewarded with a tender and intimate tone, whilst clarity is retained as you play harder. An exceptionally well made instrument with a beautiful rich tone, and a beautiful homage to one of the world's greatest luthiers.
