Here for sale we have a Chapman ML-2 electric guitar in Trans Black finish. Made in Korea in 2013, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Flame Maple top, Maple neck and 24 fret Ebony fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including a TonePros TOM style bridge and Grover tuning machines, A pair of Chapman Guitarnivore humbucking pickups have also been fitted, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, neck volume, bridge volume and a master tone control with a push/pull coil split function.
The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a 'D' shape that fills the hand nicely for a substantial grip without being at all cumbersome. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the sculpted neck heel and cutaway ensure unrestricted access to the upper register. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 13.75" radius offers a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up to the 24th fret.
The pair of Chapman Guitarnivore humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to rock and metal genres. The neck pickup is round and warm, and has plenty of power to push your solos right to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter and hotter, and offers a searing drive sound that is perfect for dirty rock rhythm parts. The simple controls feel responsive to small adjustments, meaning that you can dial in your perfect tone for each section of the song. The addition of the push/pull coil split adds the versatility of single-coil style sounds for those sparkling clean passages.
